Blue, pink, yellow, black, and white build across Impressario in layers of abstract color, texture, and depth. Inspired by college art classes in which students were challenged to layer colors to create dimension, the piece takes that exercise further by building abstract art over abstract art. Each layer leaves traces of what came before, creating a composition whose depth comes as much from the process as from the finished surface.
