Home Is Where My Honey Bee begins with a fluid acrylic background and grows outward into a sprawling, whimsical hive. Built on a 16-inch wood round with 6-inch hexagonal extensions, the piece layers individually handmade bees, honeycomb patterns, dimensional hives, flowers, gears, metallic flourishes, pearls, and tiny illustrated details around a working clock. Warm yellows, bronze, gold, cream, and touches of purple unite the many textures, while the clock itself becomes part of the composition. Every section offers another detail to discover, making this functional artwork as much a miniature world as a timepiece.
