Acrylic on canvas

Encroached begins with the unpredictable movement of a fluid acrylic pour, then imposes structure over it through geometric shapes and deliberate lines. Inspired by abstract artwork but created from a different starting point, the piece allows the organic background to remain visible as the painted forms move across—and seemingly encroach upon—the fluid composition beneath.
