Every project begins with the story—its characters, its tone, and the little details that make it yours.
Tadpole Tom Learns to Swim is a sweet story about friendship, perseverance, and finding the courage to try something new. With Jimmy’s patience, encouragement, and a little silliness, a frightened little tadpole discovers that sometimes the hardest part is simply getting started.
TRADITIONAL PICTURE BOOK ILLUSTRATION
My illustrations are created entirely by hand using traditional watercolor and ink. This is a slow, highly detailed process, and I accept only a limited number of projects.
Full picture-book illustration typically ranges from $25,000–$40,000+, depending on the number of illustrations, complexity, size, and scope of the project. I do not offer expedited or rush illustration services.
I believe traditional artwork needs the time it needs. If I put my name on a book, I want both the author and me to be proud of the finished work.

ARTWORK RIGHTS
Upon completion of the project and payment of the final installment, all rights to the commissioned artwork transfer to the author. There are no ongoing licensing fees or royalties for the illustrations. The artwork is yours to use as you wish.
